BE SOBER AND VIGILANT

The devil is clearly an adversary to believers who truly walk with God. The word sober means not being drunk or affected by alcohol. How many news stories have we heard about drunk drivers causing horrific car accidents? Vigilant is defined as keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties. 

Apostle Peter warns us to be sober and vigilant because the devil is like a lion. But Satan can only be one place at a time. Though he tries to imitate God, he IS NOT God! The devil strategically watches and waits for the right time to attack and devour. Whether it is in our finance, families, relationships, job, ministry etc. His ultimate punishment will be in the lake of fire and torment, so of course he is on the warpath. 

When you resist him and stand strong in your faith, he has to flee. Many of the afflictions we suffer are not of our own but our brethren around the world as well.  Stand strong in prayer!
