Think of a time when you were really scared. Many of us can attest to being fearful or scared when we receive some bad news over a personal situation, family member or a child. In that moment, being afraid comes to mind rather than scripture. Fear is a natural human reaction and as believers we are not immune to fear.
Our conscience will tell us to react rather than pray. But God has made us so many promises in this life for us to overcome being afraid. Next time you are faced with an unfavorable obstacle or hurdle, recite this verse in your heart.
Psalm 56:3 NKJV
Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
