THE CRUCIFIED LIFE

Are you living a crucified life? This may sound harsh, unfair or incomprehensible but imagine how Jesus had to be crucified for our sins. Sometimes I sit and think about how He lived a crucified life in the flesh. He was sinless and blameless yet nailed to a cross.  We live in the flesh with so many demands and distractions coming at us day in and day out.  But we are commanded to live by faith. He loves us more than we know. What other God knows everything about us? NONE!  I encourage you to live a crucified life. No, this isn't popular according to the world's standards. But we are simply in this world, not of the world.

PSALM 3:3-THE LORD IS MY SHIELD

In this Psalm, David is fleeing from his son Absalom. Many rose up against him during this time and he is in trouble. His enemies even tell him that his God cannot help him. David makes a declaration in the mist of trouble. " LORD, you are a shield for me ." He is calling on the Lord for help and without hesitation.  God was more than just a shield of protection but   " my glory, and the lifter up of mine head ." According to the Oxford dictionary, glory is defined as: praise, worship and thanksgiving offered to a deity;   taking great pride or pleasure in; high renown or honor won by notable achievements; very great praise, honor. David knew only God could save him and no one else.  No matter what enemy, the circumstances and situations this life comes with, just as David called on God to shield him, we have the ability to do the same. It is for His glory alone.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-SOWING AND REAPING

A farmer sows seeds into the ground in preparation for the growing season ahead. As the seeds leaves his hands and goes into the ground, he anticipates a return. The farmer may be reluctant but if he holds onto his seeds but how will they grow? The farmer hopes there will be enough rain for his crops to grow. The growing crops will yield a harvest to feed himself, family and sell to a local grocer and/or farmers market.  Many believers get offended when a church or ministry ask a believer to sow a seed. If you are sowing into good ground, you will reap bountifully. Have faith that when you sow, you can expect that the Lord will increase you. Some would also argue that because it is in the Old Testament we don't have to sow or tithe. We may not be bound to the old written law but there is a spiritual law.  A pastor once said that Jesus has many positions and one of them is being a farmer. With Him being a farmer we know there would never be a bad harvest.  We sow ou...

The Power of God

Romans 1:16 KJV For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Apostle Paul wrote that he is not ashamed of the gospel. This is coming from a man who hated Christians so much that he persecuted them. On his way to Damascus (Acts 9), he was struck with a light from heaven and the Lord spoke to him.  The power of God is available to those who believe that through Him is salvation. We should never be ashamed of the gospel of Christ and should always be ready to share with unbelievers!

BE SOBER AND VIGILANT

The devil is clearly an adversary to believers who truly walk with God. The word sober means not being drunk or affected by alcohol. How many news stories have we heard about drunk drivers causing horrific car accidents? Vigilant is defined as keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties.  Apostle Peter warns us to be sober and vigilant because the devil is like a lion. But Satan can only be one place at a time. Though he tries to imitate God, he IS NOT God! The devil strategically watches and waits for the right time to attack and devour. Whether it is in our finance, families, relationships, job, ministry etc. His ultimate punishment will be in the lake of fire and torment, so of course he is on the warpath.  When you resist him and stand strong in your faith, he has to flee. Many of the afflictions we suffer are not of our own but our brethren around the world as well.  Stand strong in prayer!

JOHN 6:35 KJV: ARE YOU HUNGRY & THIRSTY?

VERSE OF THE DAY! John 6:35 KJV And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. It is a fact that, being in these fleshy bodies, we require physical food and drink. But we also need spiritual bread and water. Jesus offers the bread of life you need to satisfy your hunger. He has more than enough drink so you will never thirst. Unlike going to the local grocer who may have ran out of your favorite bread, that is not the case for the children of God. Whenever you ask God for more, He never says, "I have run out or come back tomorrow." The answer is always, "Yes, there is more and more than enough!" He loves to feed those who are hungry. No matter how long you have been on your Christian walk, if you are hungry and thirsty, you can always asking Him for more. Shalom 💙 Prayer Point: Lord give me this day, my daily bread!

HE IS RISEN!

The work on the cross by our Lord and Savior is finished! There has never been or will it ever be a repeat of His death. One of the most talked about physical and supernatural events in Christian history. Even though some historians and theologians tried to dispute this, through the power of the Holy Spirit, some of them have given their life to Christ.  In the Greek language, the word "anastasis" is used to describe resurrection. This means: a rising up; a rising from the dead, according to Strong's Concordance G386. We as believers have eternal life because of Christ. The Lord could have told His Father no but He willingly gave His life that we may live. Let us honor Him today for what no one else could have done. HE REIGNS FOREVER! Psalm 97:1, 6, 9, 12 KJV   The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art ...

Good Friday

One of the most crucial events in Christianity commemorated around the world. The one and only begotten Son of God who came down from heaven to earth to save mankind. Good is defined as "Holy" in the Old English language.  This time of the year we honor the work of the cross and the death of Jesus Christ. He accepted the punishment of being falsely accused. Willingly suffered the beatings, mocked, whipped , spit on, ridiculed while carrying a wooden cross which He would be nailed on. The estimated weight of the cross was about 100 pounds. He remained on the cross for about 6 hours in agony, crucial pain, sweating which turned into blood. Around noon, darkness covered the land for three hours before He took His last breath. The veil of the temple was torn in two and there was an earthquake.            Matthew 27:46 KJV-And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani ? that is to say, My God, my God,...

HE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH!

Like many people in this world, you may feel lost, unloved, lonely, ridiculed, insecure, confused, desperate, broken, shameful, rejected, abused and neglected. But there is a God who loves and cares for you deeply. His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The Holy Bible gives an account of His life and why He came from heaven to earth. He loves you so much that he knows every detail about you, even the hairs on your head are numbered. You may be asking why I have to suffer? Why do I have to live with this pain? Why am I lonely? Why am I ashamed of myself? Why did I have to go through that abusive relationship/situation? The answer is: We live in a fallen and broken world full of sin. Jesus was sent into the earth by His Father to save lost souls. He also wants to save you. He wants a personal relationship with you. He wants to embrace you with His love and peace. He wants to redeem your soul from the darkness and bring you into His marvelous light. His life and ministry was a display of m...
